Figure 8 optical fiber cable description:
Fibers, 250¦Ì m, are positioned into a loose tube made of high modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire, sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for cable with high fiber count, located in the center of core as a metallic strength member. Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a co***ct and circular cable core. After an Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APC) moisture barrier is applied around the cable core, this part of cable acco***nied with the stranded wires as the supporting part are completed with a polyethylene (PE) sheath to be figure 8 structure.
